Palaeographical information	Written by a later hand in the right margin (hand 3, cf. Mazzucchi (1995)). Mazzucchi (1995: 254-255) identifies this hand as Niketas Choniates. There is a blank space between vv. 1 and 2 and between vv. 2 and 3.
Contextual information	The epigram is written next to and comments on Diodorus Siculus' Bibliotheca historica 5.40.4-5.
