Place in Manuscript f. 10v
Palaeographical information Gstach (2025: 239): It is written in scriptura continua in Greek majuscule letters, which, however, show a clear influence of Latin uncial script.
Contextual information Gstach (2025: 238): In the current arrangement of the leaves, the page with the epigram is followed by a blank page (fol. 11r), and then the Constitutio Deo auctore begins (starting on fol. 11v). However, Wolfgang Kaiser demonstrated that this does not correspond to the original arrangement, and instead proposes the following (in my opinion, very plausible) order of the texts preceding the Digest: Const. Deo auctore – Const. Tanta – Const. Δέδωκεν – Index auctorum – Index titulorum mit Epigramm – Const. Omnem.
