Δῶρον ἀειζώοιο θεοῦ μεγάλοιο ἄνακτος·
ἱμερόεν περίπυστον ἐπ’ εὐλαβέη βιότοιο·
οὔνομα θειόδωρος ποίμνης ἡγεύμενος ἧκα.
νωλεμέως νυχίηισι λιτῆις ἰδὲ τάξεσιν ἄλλαις.
ὑμνοπόλων θεότευκτον ἀγήνορα ὦρσεν ἀοιδήν·
στουδίου ἣν κληΐζουσιν ἀριπρεπὲ ὄλβιον οἶκον·
ἱρὸν ἰωάννοιο χριστοῦ προδρόμοιο σοφοῖο·
ὅν κεν ἐπ’ ἐσθλοῖς πλῆσεν πλείστηις χαρίτεσσι·
