Ὁ βάρβαρος στόμαλγος ᾿Aρμενοκίλιξ,
κενῶς προκαλῇ κατ’ ἐπιλέγδην μάχην·
στέξεις γὰρ οὔκουν τὸ βριθὺ μέγα ξίφος,
Εὐστράτιος ὃ χειρὶ παχείᾳ φέρει,
ὁπλιτοπάλας Μακεδὼν σακεσφόρος.
