After the fourth verse, 'the poem is judiciously interrupted in order to leave a space where the possessor of the volume might inscribe his name. A name was in fact once written here, but afterwards erased' (Morey (1914: 26)).
Rhoby (2018: 525): 'Morey, Paintings 28 versuchte, Theoktistos mit dem gleichnamigen Kopisten, der im Jahre 1127 den Par. gr. 1570 abschrieb (RGK II 177), zu identifizieren; schlüssige Argumente konnte er – sieht man von der Namensgleichheit ab – nicht vorbringen.' |
