|Contextual information||The epigram accompanies a miniature of Jethro riding home, located beside Exodus 19:7. The verse is followed by the non-metrical words 'καὶ μωυσέως πρὸς τὸ ὄρος ἀνάβασις', which relate to the lower part of the miniature, depicting Moses on mount Sinai.|
|Comment||Given the subsequent, non-metrical phrase, the metrical character of this verse was probably not intended (cf. Rhoby (2018: 427)).|
