ἄλλοις μὲν ἄλλα αἱρετὰ καὶ θυμήρη
ἐσθλὰ ἢ φαῦλ' ὡς ἄλλο πέφυκέ πως,
ἐμοὶ δὲ μόνη λόγου σύνεσιν (sic) πέλει
ποθεινὴ καὶ τημία καὶ ὑπερτέρα
πάντων ἡδέων καὶ τερπνῶν τῶν τοῦ βίου.
ἢν μοι ἔνσταξον ἐν καρδίᾳ, σῶτέρ μου,
ἵν' ἐνιοῦσα (?) τὴν ἄχραντον καὶ θεῖαν
τήνδε σου πυκτὶν συνιῶ καὶ τηρῶ σου
ἀπρίξ τὰ ἐντάλματα εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας ·
