| Contextual information | This epigram is preceded by a poem of (Ps.-)Psellos ‘Πρὸς τινὰ λοιδορον’ (inc. Καὶ βάτραχοι φανοῦσιν). Both epigrams precede the Batrachomyomachia of Homer. These epigrams were separated from their original context, and placed as book epigrams to accompany the Batrachomyomachia. |
