Ὁ πρὶν καθαιρῶν ὑπεναντίους ξίφει,
καὶ πάντας ἕλκων ὑπὸ δεσμὸν δουλίας,
εὐβουλίαις γνώμαις τε καὶ στρατηγίαις,
σύνεδρος ὢν κρατοῦντι καὶ αὐτοκράτωρ,
νῦν ἦλθε σὺν λόγω κραταιῶ καὶ πόνω,
θ(εο)ῦ κινοῦντος αὐτὸν ὧ ζῆ καὶ γράφει,
βάλλων τρέπων φάλαγγας ἐκθέσμων νέων.
