	Κύκλωπος δεινὸν ὄμμα τοῦ βροτοκτόνου·
	Τὴν Λαιστρυγόνων ὠμότητα καὶ Κίρκης
	Τρόπους ἀδήλους, καὶ μεμηχανευμένους·
	Ἄδου τὸ φρικτὸν, καὶ τὸν Σειρήνων φθόγγον,
	Πέτρας τε πλαγκτὰς, καὶ Χαρύβδεως στόμα·
	Σκύλλης τὸ δεινὸν, καὶ βίαιον, ὡς ἔφη,
	Υἱοῦ χεροῖν τέθνηκεν ἐν τῇ πατρίδι.
